Hi I’m Devon from Elektron music machines.

We’re here at NAMM 2017.

This is Thursday, day 1, and 37 minutes ago we have just unveiled our latest product. Digitakt.

Takt means beat in Swedish.

This an all-digital machine featuring eight tracks of drum sampling and eight tracks of MIDI sequencing, so you can drive external hardware with this being your centerpiece.

It’s got two audio inputs for sampling and each individual track has filter, amp and LFO, and there’s a delay and a reverb send effect.

You’ve also got chromatic mode, 1GB of memory and the sequencer for both the drums and the MIDI carries all our sophisticated, awesome sequencing tricks like conditional note triggering, re-trigs and micro timing, so you get a very, very sophisticated MIDI sequencer on top of an already great drum sampler.

And the best thing is the price is set between $600 and $650 so that’s half the price of all the machines that you know from Elektron, so we really want to make this accessible and give our awesome sequencing and drum sampling to the masses.
