Close miking a speaker can be tricky since a single won't pick up the full balanced tone. So therefore I'm miking a Celestion Greenback using 5 close mics at different places of the speaker cone to get all components of the guitar tone. The mics are:
1. 1960s Beyerdynamic M160
2. 1970s Sennheiser M421U5
3. 1960s Unidyne III 545
4. 202X Sture Beta 57A
5. 202X Sture Beta 57A
The Amp is a 2020 Marshall Studio Silver Jubilee 2525H, the cab is a 1971 Marshall 1960B. The miked speaker is a 1968 Celestion G12M25 75Hz T1221 Pre Rola Greenback. The guitar is a 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9.
