Strandberg’s unique guitars are an innovative blend of inspiration, engineering, quality and ergonomics. Dating back to 2007, founder Ola Strandberg created and patented the brand’s unique Endurneck shape and has matched these necks to equally impressive guitars, made distinctive by their perfectly balanced shape and headstock-less necks. This Metal model takes things further still with Fishman Fluence pickups.

The Boden body shape is the definitive Strandberg shape, named after the Swedish City. According to Strandberg themselves, they see a likeness here between the Boden body shape and reindeer antlers and we think we know what they’re getting at! It’s all about the balance with this original shape: you can actually play in different playing positions just by moving how the guitar sits on your lap. Even the input jack is safely out the way in a well-considered decision that impressed us.

The patented Endurneck is something you really have to get a hold of and experience: despite looking chunky, square and unwieldy but in practice it feels exceptional: it’s comfortable, easy to handle and allows your fingers to fall in directly the correct places to make complex chording shapes and arpeggios easy to perform. Your muscles, joints and tendons will thank you for years to come! This particular neck is made from 5 pieces of wood Roasted Maple and Rosewood with Carbon Fibre reinforcement.The frets are slightly fanned too, with a scale length that goes from 25"-25.5". This is so that the frets line up with how your fingers naturally fall on the fret board. It's something that you don't even need to take account of with your playing, save to note that your fretting is exceptionally easy and comfortable! The fretboard radius is an ultra-flat 20 inches and the frets are stainless steel for a lifetime’s uninterrupted use. The neck also has glow-in-the-dark Luminlay fret markers on both the Ebony board and the side of the neck.

These Metal Bodens have metallic gloss finishes this 7 string model is in Black Pearl on top of Basswood bodies with maple tops to enhance high end response. The Fishman Fluence Modern pickups are an innovative set of ceramic humbuckers designed to give you both the Active crispness with no mud and low end tightness and the Passive high output distortion with great dynamics and response. In short, they are everything a modern guitarist could possibly want in a humbucker. Together with the Boden Metal, this is everything the modern guitarist could want, full stop!
