In this video I had the opportunity to compare a large batch of 1960s Phillips Miniwatt ECC83 / 12AX7 preamp tubes. I'm using a 1967 Fender Bassman AB165 for this. I'm comparing 9 sets of the 3 preamp tubes, ie 27 tubes. I'm also throwing in the the 3 preamp tubes that I had in in the amp (RCA). I'm playing the bassman through a 1971 Marshall 1960A cab using a 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9.
