The Marshall JMP 2204 50W Master Lead sounds great at bedroom volume level (80-90dB) so it’s the perfect recording amp if you want the classic Super Lead tone at low volume. This one is from 1977. I’m playing it with a 1953 Gibson Les Paul, a 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9 and 2013 Gibson SG Standard Custom Shop Aged. I’m using a bunch of different cabs. 1972 Marshall 4x15 Model 1979A, 1983 Marshall JCM800 4010 (cab only), 1970 Marshall 1982A, 1971 Marshall 1960A. All equipped with vintage Pulsonic Celestion Greenbacks.
