Aside from just offering stunning looks, the Brazilian rosewood sides and beautiful 3-piece back provide exceptional sonic horsepower, depth and a superbly rich acoustic voice. Strummers and guitarists who play in a mix with other instruments will surely appreciate the fullness and volume of this special edition 818e. Although its ideal for strumming chords and playing in a band setting, the 818e Brazilian Rosewood also responds beautifully to flatpicking and fingerstyle playing.
Of course, the Special Edition 818e Brazilian Rosewood comes with all of the standard 800 Series features and appointments including a Sitka spruce top, Advanced Performance bracing with protein glue adhesive & side braces, mother-of-pearl Element fingerboard inlays, Indian rosewood top trim, an abalone rosette outlined in rosewood, a rosewood pickguard, pale maple bindings, a gloss-finished peghead, a thin 3.5 mils full-gloss body finish, and a set of Taylor nickel tuning machines. The 818e also comes equipped with Taylor Expression System 2 electronics for a natural-sounding amplified tone and superior plugged-in performance. Comes complete with a hardshell case.
