The IdiotBox FX PowerBoost is a take on the old Colorsound Power Boost. Its a boost, its an overdrive, it is dirty, it is raw, it is loud and it is all POWER.
If you are looking for any cliche adjectives like "transparent", "clean" and "color" this is not for you. If you want to sound like 10 dirty, raw amps on 11 this is for you. Sounds great on bass and guitar.

- MTD Michael Tobias Design 435 American maple burl top on poplar body, wenge neck and fretboard. Active Bartolini pickups and preamp.
The Amp:
Mesa Boogie Carbine M9 into a RoadReady 6x10 cab.
Speaker was mic'd with an AKG D112. There is no DI signal on this one.
NO eq, audio controls, or compression were added.
