Should I buy Chinese guitars (chibson) or clones?

Guitars are expensive, and it makes us want to find a good one that is a price we can afford. People shop with their eyes, and because of this when we see a guitar that looks like the one we want, but it is super cheap, we think we should purchase it.

There are many factories making clones of guitars in places like China where trademark and patents mean nothing. Many times a guitar company will begin making guitars overseas to save money. When this happens, their plans and trade secrets are given to the locals that work there. This is when ideas get stolen, but many times they will build something near identical for dirt cheap.

If the prices of the guitars were affordable, then no one would buy clones or fakes. The guitar companies kind of bring this upon themselves.

This video covers if you should consider buying one or not. Keep in mind, even if you buy it, it doesn't mean it will make it to your house. Many times these are confiscated when they enter the country.
