Among the first electrified acoustics with a florentine cutaway to be shipped from the Gibson factory in this model’s debut year, only 1,257 CF-100E acoustic guitars were logged as having shipped out before the model was discontinued in 1960. Yet, the Gibson catalogs from these years only list these models as being available in a Sunburst finish—which begs the question: Is this 1951 Gibson CF-100E the only one of its kind to feature this beautiful Natural finish?!
