AC/DC "Hell's Bells" guitar lesson. Today we're using the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MKIII in its lower gain range to recreate a vintage Plexi sound. The DLS shares the same behavior as a tube amp, allowing chords to ring out and clean up naturally, while harder picking yields dynamic, tube-like overdrive. In Hell's Bells, the intro really lets the A string drone while the D&G strings play an epic melody. As with all AC/DC songs, there are two guitar parts and we show how Angus Young plays the verse riff an octave higher, right before the vocals come in. The rest of the song is pretty straight forward, showing the ringing quality and dominance that chords can have at the second fret versus higher positions on the neck. Enjoy your riff of the day guitar lesson!
