Here's the Paul Reed Smith PRS Dragon 2002 (number 6) fitted with '7' pickups as supplied from the factory playing lead guitar and chord growl (Dragon Style). Superb rock tone reminds me of some other guitars I have. BTW I'm not meant to be a Hendrix on here - I just used the track as backing for improvisation. No need to remind me ;-) Don't forget to crank the volume. Visit http://www.tonymckenzie.com for other reviews of my channel http://www.youtube.com/tonymckenziecom I used a JVM410HJS (Satch) Head and 4x12 Marshall 1960A cab for the amp and cry baby for the Wah.
This is a wonderful guitar that when new would have cost around $30,000 which is a high price for any guitar. With all of the work carried out to the top of the guitar it is heavier than a normal single cut from Paul Reed Smith for sure. Its really a collectors guitar, but as you can see here it is certainly playable and sounds pretty good with rock styles... I mean, what else would you ever use a guitar like this for?
Every review I do is completely unbiased - I sell nothing! and I don't own or get paid money by any magazines either. I never write or record videos as reviews for shops.
Every video is completely self financed as is the equipment. I buy every single item personally except on extremely rare occasions and I always say so if that is the case. . What you get is a review just as if you had bought one of the reviewed items yourself! Now what could be better than that? and what a refreshing change compared to those reviews for simply sales or even those reviews where the 'musician' gets equipment for free.
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE AND RING THE BELL. And if you like the video then thumbs up! Thanks - its always appreciated and I won't bombard you with reviews!
