The review of the Marshall AFD100 'appetite' amp Slash designed shown played. This is Part Two. I don't play slash stuff so in a way this is probably a better demo than being limited to one style - unless you play Slash stuff. I think the amp is awesome and can be used for so many other styles from Free through Hendrix, Lizzy, and everything in between.

The sustain (which you don't really see many demos of is awesome and the amp can keep that going (with a Les Paul) for hours - check out that first clip for nice sustain without harshness.
There are lots of different sounds on this video and a few differing styles as you go further through the video to show the different sounds you can get out of the amp.
Remember its really a one channel amp but I do get many styles and sounds over this thirteen minutes or so... other guys do a really good rendition of Slash if that's what you are looking for. I suspect this amp will sell to many other users than just Slash fans simply because it sounds so great for many styles and is near enough faultless.
Guitars used were Gibson Spotlight Special CS reissue, Ibanez RG550 and a Gibson Jimmy Page Les Paul (1995).
The cab was a 1960b absolutely standard from Marshall and a cry baby. I have a Fulltone wah pedal and that sounded quite bad with this amp but great with a mesa amp, so I used the regular cry baby - a favourite of mine since 1968!
There were no other effects whatsoever - not even reverb so what you hear is what comes out of the amp - just great sounding guitar tone - it went right in to the desk and out of the desk in to the video recorder.
