In this video we explore the ARPEGGIATOR section of Muse and how to use its unique programmable functions to create dynamic and mesmerizing arpeggiated patterns.
First we explore some of the more conventional ARPEGGIATOR features on Muse, including latching with HOLD, controlling the pattern DIRECTION, OCTAVE RANGE, and pendulum FW/BK motion. We then look at how the CLOCK DIV knob can be used to set the arpeggiation rate to a musical clock division of the master CLOCK of Muse and how we can configure the musical divisions available to us via the MORE menu. By pulling up the ARP view in the PROGRAMMER we dive into the more intricate features of the ARPEGGIATOR including the ability to program rhythms up to 64 steps, program the gate length of notes, and program probabilistic note drops as well as how those rested notes affect the arpeggiated pattern. We also look at using the LOCK functionality to capture patterns, build sequences, and work on compositional ideas.
