In this video we pair Labyrinth with an external clock and modulation source (in this case ALM’s Pamela’s New Workout) to alter Labyrinth’s behavior.
We first clock SEQ 1 and SEQ 2 of Labyrinth independently using two different clocks from Pamela’s New Workout as well as using different modulation signals to flip the bits of each sequencer on and off. By decoupling the two envelope generators of Labyrinth for independent animation of the VCW and VCF paths we can generate metallic alien drum patterns that shift over time. Adding a kick drum underneath (using the Topobrillo Multifilter) allows us to tie everything together and add an anchor to Labyrinth’s irregular acidic rhythms.
