In this video we will look at the quick ASSIGN buttons found on the front panel of Muse and explore how to use them to make quick modulation assignments.
We start with an initialized patch to quickly build up an interesting sound from scratch. The ASSIGNABLE CONTROLLERS module contains assignment buttons for common modulation sources such as the keyboard, mod wheel, or aftertouch, and we use that section to assign aftertouch to control vibrato depth via the PITCH LFO. We then take a look at our modulation routing in the MOD MAP, edit the depth of modulation (holding SHIFT for fine tuning), and add some slew via the transfer functions available in the MOD MAP. Each TIMBRE in a Muse PATCH can have 16 modulation slots and quick assign can help you construct deep and evocative sounds very quickly.
