In this video, we dive deep into the voice structure of Labyrinth and the unique synthesis elements that comprise it.
Our walkthrough of Labyrinth’s voice architecture begins with the audio generators: a sine wave VCO, triangle wave MOD VCO, variable tone NOISE generator, and RING modulator. The saturating MIXER combines these elements and feeds them into the Voltage-Controlled Wavefolder (VCW) and Voltage-Controlled Filter (VCF), which are then brought back together in the BLEND crossfader. We continue exploring the various panel controls that make up Labyinth’s voice structure while listening to its wide timbral range before turning our attention to the ORDER switch and exploring how it rearranges the signal path.
