Lollar Pickups' Shop Sessions is a performance series that features an assortment of artists playing a variety of styles. All filmed live in a single take right here in the Lollar production shop. There are no cuts, no talking, no sales pitch, and no sterile sound demos or pickup specs. It's just musicians making music. As much as we're sure you'll find these videos enjoyable to listen to and watch, we also hope that they can offer a better idea of how our products sound in the context of a performance.
For our third Shop Sessions video, we invited guitarists Jessica Dobson and Peter Lalish to come play in our shop. The two have roots that spread far and wide in the music industry.
Jessica Dobson is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Seattle. A former member of The Shins and Beck, Dobson has collaborated and performed alongside many artists, including Spoon, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Conor Oberst, and many more. Currently, she is the driving force behind Deep Sea Diver, a band that includes her husband, Peter Mansen (drums), and multi-instrumentalist, Elliot Jackson. Deep Sea Diver’s 2020 album Impossible Weight was voted the top album of the year by the listeners of KEXP Radio in Seattle. Jessica is playing the Lollar Regal for Jazzmaster pickups.
Peter Lalish is a multi-instrumentalist and music teacher. His work includes scores for film, session work on albums by musicians like Elizabeth & The Catapult and Ximena Sariñana, and holding down lead guitar duties in the band Lucius, who have found critical acclaim from outlets like the New York Times, Rolling Stone, and The Village Voice. He can frequently be found in the studio as a player or producer and has graced some of the world’s great stages, from O2 Arena to indie clubs to Carnegie Hall. Peter is playing the Lollar Gold Foil for Jazzmaster pickups.
