Lollar Pickups' Shop Sessions is a performance series that features an assortment of artists playing a variety of styles. All filmed live in a single take right here in the Lollar production shop. There's no talking, no sales pitch, and no sterile sound demos or pickup specs. It's just musicians making music. As much as we're sure you'll find these videos enjoyable to listen to and watch, we also hope that they can offer a better idea of how our products sound in the context of a performance.
For our second Shop Sessions video, we invited Seattle area guitarists Danny Newcomb and Tim DiJulio to come play in our shop. The two grew up in Seattle, have been friends since childhood, and are well-known and respected in the Northwest music community.
Danny Newcomb is perhaps best known as the lead guitarist for Goodness, but he has played in a variety of bands over the years including Shadow and the Rockfords with Seattle music scene luminaries including Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Carrie Akre, Rick and Chris Friel, and others. More recently he has formed his own band Danny Newcomb and the Sugarmakers releasing his first solo album Masterwish in 2015 and in 2020 he released the acoustic album Mackerel Sky.

Tim DiJulio is a straight-ahead rock guitarist and one of Seattle’s busiest and most in-demand players. He cut his teeth in the 90s with the much-loved band Lazy Susan and has kept active since as a member of numerous bands including North Star, Bag of Hammers, Stereo Embers, as well as two tribute bands, HalloQueen (Queen), and Flight to Mars (UFO) with several northwest musicians including Mike McCready, Mike Musburger, and Gary Westlake.
