We stopped by Casio's booth at Winter NAMM 2019 to take a closer look at their brand new PX-S1000 Privia Digital Piano.
The PX-S1000 features a sleek, glossy panel, as well as a gorgeous, compact unibody case that immediately recalls an acoustic grand piano. The front panel features touch sensor controls that immediately disappeared as soon as the Privia is turned off. What remains is a clean, seamless top panel.
The PX-S1000 has a newly designed keyboard action, which delivers an authentic and uncompromising fully weighted piano touch. Each key is individually and uniquely weighted so you'll truly feel the difference moving up and down the keybed. The keybed is topped with ebony and ivory key textures adding another layer of realism.
Under the hood, the PX-S1000 has 18 different sounds, including a breathtaking acoustic grand piano tone. The acoustic grand piano features advanced string resonance while the damper resonance adds depth and detail. As your pedal is pressed you'll even hear the damper rise and fall along with the subtle mechanical sound of the keys being pressed. Other sounds include tine and reed electric pianos, organs, strings, harpsichord, vibes and more.
Other features include Chordana Play for Piano app integration, Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to use it as a master keyboard controller.
