Korg's Volca Modular is a "West Coast"-inspired semi-modular synthesizer consisting of independent analog synth modules as well as digital effects, and, as with the Volca format, a built-in sequencer.
Each of the modules is connected internally so that you can make sound right out of hte box, without connecting any of the pin cables. Curious how the sound is routed? Follow the white lines on the front panel. Internal connections are broken when you connect a pin cable, as they take priority.
While the 50 patch points found on Volca Modular's chassis may be intimidating, it ships with 8 preset patching examples to help get you started. These cover bass sounds, metallic sounds and more.
