The ER-2 is Thorpy’s unique take on the analog Uni-Vibe we all know and love from the 60s. Just like NASA’s ER-2 high-altitude aircraft, the ThorpyFX is on a mission of atmospheric exploration. The ER-2 is loaded with a classic lamp and photocell circuit to give the waveform that unmistakable rise and fall, but it doesn’t stop at just Speed and Intensity. The offset control can further tweak how the lamp ramps up, providing a wider variety of rhythmic swing and swish.
Of course you can’t forget the two modes: Chorus and Vibrato which are now footswitchable! The Vibrato mode produces a warmth pitch modulation that never overstays its welcome. This can be a great alternative to tremolo, especially when the offset and intensity are pushed harder.
