ThorpyFX have been teaming of with legendary Lovetone designer Dan Coggins, and the Camoflange makes this their second masterpiece in the modulation category. This all analog flanger is aimed at those looking for maximum versatility and the highest possible build quality. At the heart of this color changing effect is a NOS Matsushita bucket brigade device from Mr Coggin’s personal inventory, a sure fire way to tap into holy grail flange tones as well as modern sounds thanks to this pedal’s extensive controls. Firstly, the Camoflange has a rare feature in most flangers, a blend control. This allows you to dial in the perfect mix of dry and wet signals and place extreme settings back in the mix. You can also send the wet and dry to different amps with separate outputs. Along with rate and depth, the manual control adjusts the freq and delay range of the effect from very dry and hollow to watery chorus and pitch bending. Crucial to any flanger is the feedback control, and the so the Harmonics knob, you get both negative and positive feedback for different textures and intensities that go into oscillation. Another rare site of a flanger is tone control, so the Treble knob was added to tame pitch bending or swooshing sounds, especially when stacked with dirt pedals. The Thorpy Camoflange is loaded with premium, audiophile components and runs on standard 9V power. Check out ThorpyFX.com for more info.
