The Fjord Fuzz LOKE is a fine-tuned delay aimed at recreating old school studio tricks that once required multiple reel to reel tape decks. Whether its a simple slapback, doubling with or without modulation or psychedelic tape flanging, LOKE can do it all with a simple and intuitive form factor. It starts with an analog preamp straight from a classic tape echo unit which gives you control over individual Wet and Dry levels. These signals can boost any preamp into saturation or attenuate if needed. With a tape voiced digital delay at its heart, LOKE is divided into 0-100ms and 0-400ms ranges, selectable by the left footswitch. The shorter mode lets you dial in critical single and double digit delay times where flanger, doubling and chorus sounds live. The longer delay mode goes from classic slapback to medium length echoes that give you reverb-eque soundscapes when the feedback is increased.
The secret to its versatility is the random LFO modulation which invites tape-like warble and also various interplay between the wet/dry signals. You can control the Altitude (depth) and Density (rate) of this unpredictable yet musical sine wave movement.
Since the delay time is so crucial in each effect, Fjord Fuzz includes an exp input to manually sweep through delay time, just like engineers would do with the tape deck back in the day!
