The PureSalem Mendiola was is inspired by a unique Italian offset shape from the 60s and comes with specs for today's player. The body and bolt-one neck are all mahogany, with binding all around and a rear tummy cut on this stunning red finish that glitters under the lights. The neck has a smooth satin finish with a modern "C" profile while the other side has a 12” rosewood fretboard loaded with 22 med jumbo frets, 12" radius and 24 ¾” scale that matches perfectly with the Tune o matic bridge. Tuning stability is taken care of by a great factory setup and pin locking tuners.
The unique voice of the Mendiola is projected by a PureSalem Attack Captain mini-humbucker in the bridge and single coil T-style in the neck position. This unique combination allows both twang and early American rock 'n roll all the way to punchier distorted tones that cut through with clarity, due to the mini's narrower magnetic field. Controls are simply a master volume and tone plus a 3-way switch for quick tone changes without the fuss.
