Ground Control Audio have carefully crafted a pair of boosters that make it easy to put the finishing touches on your tone, whether you need more clarity out of your humbuckers, a cutting lead tone or warm mid boost. Both the Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi feature a JFET front end and a 20dB signal boost to make stuff louder or push your tube amp into overdrive. Where these pedals differ, besides their masterful artwork, is the frequencies they boost. The Amaterasu is a bright boost pre-amp that adds an extra 12dB of treble up to around 3kHz. Unlike vintage treble boosters, this pedal retains all the low end while adding clarity and presence to any rig. Also cutting through the mix like a knife, is the mid boosting feature on the Tsukuyomi, which pushes a sweet spot by 12dB from 880hZ to 1k. With so much boost available, you can transform any of these pedals into a raging overdrive or back off their gain for subtle tone shaping. Plus, Ground Control have designed these pedals with high quality components in Canada and you can be sure that they stack very well together.
