The CKAudio Charybdis is an all analog chorus/vibrato with a MN3007 bucket brigade chip at the helm. Based on a classic circuit, this pedal is capable of shimmering chorus with just the right delay time baked in as well as seasick, pitch bending vibrato! Going beyond the standard rate and depth, the Charybdis has a versatile Mix control that can be used across its entire sweep in Chorus mode. For subtle chorus tones or to tame the pitch modulation in higher Depth settings, lowering the Mix retains the doubling effect but allows the dry signal to dominate and keep your guitar’s signal out front. Vibrato takes the dry signal out, so the mix is naturally disabled. This mode can be as subtle as need or venture into rotary effects and beyond. Speaking of beyond, the Warp toggle sails away from traditional sine or triangle waveforms by using a glitchy square-like waveform that abruptly shifts the delay time back and forth, producing some very unexpected and rhythmic results.
