The Bunker is the evolution of the Lovetone Brown Source overdrive, with Lovetone designer Dan Coggins joining ThorpyFX once again to offer improvements to this venerable circuit while preserving its very essence. This "MKII” is louder, smaller and more flexible but with the heart of the tone still pumping out thick, harmonically rich dirt that works together with your guitar’s dynamics. Along with Volume and drive, a tone and 3 way tone switch offer a wide assortment of EQ voicings to work with your rig, whether it’s clean, breaking up or fully overdriven. The Texture control further shapes the Bunker by involving intermodulation distortion, something that isn’t desired in other audio scenarios but in the Bunker’s case, really creates some unique complexity and a whole new grab bag of harmonic overtones. Lastly, they didn’t forget the tone bypass of the Brown Source. It now has its own footswitch to make lead boosts or two distinct sound possible, hands-free. Like all ThorpyFX, the Bunker is built in England using cream of the crop components like WIMA caps, gold plated PCBs and sealed pots.
