The Brave Ulysses is a bare bones tone machine with vintage looks and modern playability.
Pure Salem gives this guitar an all mahogany body and bolt on mahogany neck for a warm sustaining tone that is dressed up in either this Tea Burst or a Green finish, complete with creme binding. The muscle in the Brave Ulysses comes from a custom PureSalem Pumpkin Triptone mini-humbucker which delivers a special blend of jangle and creaminess. The controls are simply a master volume and a kill switch for quick volume cuts or stutter effects.
The Brave Ulysses is a comfortable player with an excellent setup and feel thanks to a 24 3/4” scale, 12” fretboard radius, med jumbo frets and a C shape profile with a light satin finish. The hardware consists of Grover tuners and a very solid Wilkinson mini ashtray bridge that meet the strings which come through the body. As with all PureSalem guitars, the Brave Ulysses is a mid priced product with unique stylings but most importantly is ready to play and built to last just ask many fine touring musicians who take theirs on the road.
