The ThorpyFX Field Marshal takes the famed Lovetone Big Cheese fuzz to a whole new level. Adrian Thorpe with Dan Coggins, who was behind the original design, set out to make a MKII version for today’s guitarist while preserving the renowned gated fuzz tones and versatility of the 90s boutique pedal. Starting with much needed improvements like lower noise, higher output and a wider range all around, the Field Marshal is also housed in Thorpy’s rugged, pedalboard friendly enclosure with a sleek laser etched control panel in a new black offering. One of the main features is a 3-way toggle which includes the famous Gated Big Cheese fuzz tone (Up), a slight mid hump (Center) and an even stronger mid hump (Down). Plus, the original tone bypass mode is now on a footswitch (Cheese) and linked with a corresponding output Balance, giving you two fuzz flavors at either matched or unhinged lead volume. Like all ThorpyFX, the Field Marshall is packed with the best, low noise components like Wima and Panasonic capacitors and Neutrik jacks, and hand-built with love in England.
