Building on the foundation of the Space Race reverberation pedal, the Leap Series Space Force brings new sounds to the horizon with a cockpit that’s even easier to navigate than previous pedals. Although the Leap Series has more power under the hood, the Space Force is designed to be more even more straight forward that previous designs, with every adjustment visible on an LED screen and up to 32 presets that you can custom name.
The 8 modes include classic Plate and Spring as well as larger spaces with extra dimension like Mod Hall, Lo-Fi and Echoverb. The main adjustments are all accessed on the first page, like decay time, tone and mix while a tap of the bottom right knob brings you to secondary parameters specific to the mode, taking any guess work out of your reverberation discoveries. The 3rd page offer set and forget options like output level and tap tempo subdivisions.
The Space Force includes stereo ins/outs, a multi-jack for expression control, external switching or full MIDI control as well as a global menu for anything from LED brightness to bypass configuration. In the same spirit of keeping things simple, you can forgo an expression pedal and change one or all the parameters when using the Ramp feature. You can set ramp speed between heel/toe settings and whether the function is momentary or latching.
