This video explores the Subharmonicon’s pitch sequencing section.
The Subharmonicon is equipped with two separate 4-step quantizable voltage-controlled sequencers. Each sequencer is designed to control one of the Subharmicon’s oscillators, as well as each oscillator’s accompanying pair of suboscillators. Users are also given access to the Pitch CV and Gate signals from each sequencer in the Subharmonicon’s 32-point patchbay. Both pitch sequencers share octave range and quantizer settings. The pitch sequencers can operate in 10-, 4-, or 2-octave ranges, and the quantizer allows users to select between 4 different quantized behaviors, as well as unquantized operation. To expand the Subharmonicon’s patchability, the sequencer CV outputs can be also be decoupled from the internal quantizer settings to always output unquantized voltages, and can also be set to ignore the internal octave range selection, and always operate at +/- 5V.
