Following on from my recent Custom Shop Gibson - here is a video showing a much lower priced Gibson Studio of 2016. This video compares the 2016 with the 2015. Then it goes on to review the 2016 model. Lastly I play it and it is a quite incredible sound. I used a Fender Supersonic 22w head and that rocks too as you will see in my up coming review of that amp.
This guitar cost £950 from Peach Guitars in the UK at the time of writing (they had incredible service and price) and if you take off the VAT and the cost of the genuine Les Paul case you're left with about £650-£700. For an American made guitar of this quality there really is nothing to say.
You CANNOT get anything better for that money to this level of quality that is USA made.
So relating to my original video of why Gibson remains one of the best makers - this guitar at this price says it all really... they even show the actual guitar being setup and prepped with a photo of it in the case - how awesome is that? And after recent questionable setups of other guitars I have reviewed this Gibson cannot be questioned - there's the proof right in the case -and on the guitar itself - it really is perfect.
I play at the end of the video showing a number of different sounds and this guitar can really 'tap' if you can do that.
So go and watch this video - find out those differences between the 15 and 16 models and see a guitar that has ultimate quality and tone right out of the box, no if's, no but's, just genuine honest and great manufacturing.
