Demo of the 1981 Inventions DRV.

My take:
The DRV is 1981 Inventions' take on the ubiquitous vintage ProCo RAT. To my ears, the DRV is a more mid-pushed, less brittle, more versatile version of the classic distortion. Still definitely in the RAT ballpark – this is a high-gain rock machine, just probably a bit warmer and creamier, with more usable sounds right out of the gate. Super fun to play!
