Do you have a MIDI device that isn't supported by your DMC.micro? Something new, perhaps? Or something very old? Not a problem. In this video we'll show you how to configure the CUSTOM device driver in the DMC.micro PRO and DMC.micro Classic (v2.0+ firmware required.)
DMC.micro PRO is available here: https://www.disasterareadesigns.com/shop/p/dmc-micro-pro
Syntax Error 2 is available here:
https://www.alexanderpedals.com/shop/syntax-error-2
Enter SETUP
Configure one or more devices as CUSTOM1 or CUSTOM2 (CST1 / CST2)
This will unlock the Custom 1 / 2 configuration items
Set the following items to match your device's parameters (values after the / are the DMC.micro Classic setup names)
CUST 1 MIN / C1LO - lowest preset number your device needs, usually zero
CUST 1 MAX / C1HI - highest preset number your device needs. Usually this is the highest preset minus one
CUST 1 BYP / C1BP - MIDI CC number your device uses for bypass
CUST 1 TAP / C1TT - MIDI CC number your device uses for tap tempo, it's okay to leave this alone if your device doesn't have tap
CUST 1 EXP / C1EP - MIDI CC number your device uses for expression pedal, it's okay to leave this alone if your device doesn't have expression, or you can map it to one of your device's other parameters you want to control with expression
CUST 1 DSP / C1DS - sets the display style the DMC will use to show the program number on your device. Usually this is either 0-127 or 1-128 depending on what your device calls its lowest preset.
Save and exit, and you're done!
