The DMC-6D is designed to control Ableton Live or other DAW software. The DMC-6D features a USB MIDI interface that also powers the DMC-6D. It also has an industry-standard 5-pin DIN MIDI port.

The DMC-6D bridges the data from the USB MIDI interface to the DIN MIDI interface internally, so you can send program changes (PC,) continuous controllers (CC,) notes, or MIDI clock from your DAW to an external device without needing a separate MIDI interface.

6 soft-touch footswitches
2 1/4" expression inputs
1/4" auxiliary switch input (TRS, two switches.)
4-digit DIMMABLE LED display
USB MIDI
5-pin DIN MIDI OUT (mirrors USB MIDI for MIDI thru to external devices)
9V DC or USB powered

20 banks of six commands each
1 "all-access" bank with 6 additional commands
Auxiliary switch is assignable to bank up & down, two fixed messages, or two additional messages per bank
Expression pedal inputs are assignable to MIDI CC 1-127
DIN MIDI channel is selectable 1-16

Works with any DAW or other software that accepts MIDI note on control for remote operation, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage, Pro Tools, etc.
